I provide legal and business advice in four areas of expertise: IT (privacy), commercial contracts, copyright law and e-commerce.
I take an effort to get to know my clients and their businesses and suggest improvements proactively. It's my goal to draft documents, such as contracts, that are of practical use to my clients, that will actually be used, and I assist therewith.
My clients regularly ask me for my view on a number of non-legal matters they deal with. They tell me I am able to bring clarity in complex situations. In potential conflicts I seek to find the right message and the right tone. My focus is on creating and retaining long-lasting relationships, for myself and for my clients.

I think of creative solutions, communicate well and work quickly. I'm skilful with digital tools and understand non-legal issues my clients are faced with. While I am at the service of my clients, I am critical and independent. I'm fluent in Dutch and English. In addition, I am able to get a job done, also if I'm dependent on other people's cooperation.
As an entrepreneur myself since 2010, with a background in top-class amateur golf, I understand what it's like to pursue goals and to be judged by performance. My experience as an attorney at law amounts to almost 17 years.

I enjoyed an excellent education at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands and started my career as an attorney at law at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in The Hague and Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Actively keeping track of developments in my areas of expertise, I aim to provide legal advice of the highest quality. At the same time, application of the law is not an end in itself. The law is a means to be used by my client or a reality my client has to deal with.
